Former Steelers head coach Bill Cowher believes that J.J.Watt, who is an NFL Legend and the brother of current Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker T.J.Watt, is in good physical shape to return to the NFL.
The Houston Texans and Arizona Cardinals defensive end played in the NFL for 12 seasons, mostly with the Texans. During an interview on the Pat McAfee Show, Cowher discussed meeting J.J.Watt recently.

He mentioned that he saw Watt at a seminar the previous week and noted that Watt is still the same weight as when he played. Cowher expressed uncertainty about what will happen in the upcoming season but mentioned that Watt seems prepared. He added that he believes Watt is open to potential opportunities, even though he may not actively seek them out.
It doesn’t seem very likely that Watt will get a contract with the NFL, but you never know. After he retired in 2022, CBS Sports hired him to be an NFL analyst. In 2023, he bought a small part of Burnley F.C., a soccer club in England’s second division.

The retired defensive end ended his career in 2022 as one of the best defensive players ever, earning five first-team All Pro selections, two second-team All Pro selections, and 3 Defensive Player of The Year awards. However, just because he is still at his playing weight doesn’t mean he can still perform at an NFL level.
Teams may be curious, but they have not watched Watt play in two years, which makes it difficult for front offices in the league to make a decision.

There is a chance he could join the Steelers if he plays in the NFL again. The Steelers have had some injuries on their defensive line, especially with Cam Heyward being out for a while. Playing for the Steelers would be the second time T.J.Watt plays with one of his brothers, as Derek was on the team from 2020 to 2022.
