Next week, the Philadelphia Eagles and Green Bay Packers are expected to make history, but recent reports suggest that it may not happen.

The leading NFC teams are set to start their season by playing against each other at the Arena Corinthians in Sao Paulo on September 6. Unfortunately, the city is currently facing severe wildfires that have resulted in the deaths of at least two individuals.

The Brasilia Environmental Institute stated that the air quality was labeled as “very poor” on Sunday. As of Wednesday, there has been some improvement, but only in specific parts of the city. Additionally, health facilities in the region have noticed a significant rise in individuals with upper respiratory infections.

If the Brazil game happens, the Eagles and Packers will wear interesting uniforms. Daire Carragher from 24/7 Sports mentioned four and a half months ago that both teams cannot wear green since it’s the main color of Palmeiras, Corinthians’ main rivals.

The Eagles have decided to follow this request by wearing their white away jersey along with a black helmet and pants. But, if the game happens, the Packers will go against the rule and wear their traditional green-and-gold home uniforms.

The Eagles-Packers game in Brazil will be shown in a special way on Peacock and NFL+ for viewers across the country.
Noah Eagle will be the one doing the play-by-play, while former quarterback Todd Blackledge will provide analysis.

Kaylee Hartung, who also works on Amazon Prime’s Thursday Night Football, will report from the sidelines. Viewers in Green Bay, Wisconsin can catch the game on WGBA, NBC’s local station, while those in the Milwaukee area can tune in to NBC-affiliated WTMJ.

In Philadelphia, the game will be shown on WCAU, which is a locally owned and operated TV station. Both teams are planning watch parties at their stadiums. At Lincoln Financial Field, the doors will open at 6 PM ET, and tickets are priced at $30. Similarly, at Lambeau Field, the festivities will start at 5 PM CT at Ariens Hill. Attendance and parking are free, but you need to register beforehand.
