The Tennessee Volunteers made a significant move on the recruiting front Monday, June 16, by securing their first commitment from the class of 2027. While the program has been building momentum with its 2026 class, this marks the first addition for the following cycle.

The commitment came from JP Peace, a linebacker out of Knoxville West High School in Tennessee. Rated as a three-star prospect by Rivals, Peace also carries a strong family connection to the program — he is the grandson of former Tennessee head coach Phillip Fulmer, who led the Volunteers to a national championship in 1998.
