As they get ready to take on the Indianapolis Colts in Week 2, the Green Bay Packers have a lot of things to improve.
Given that they were unable to control Jalen Hurts in their first game in Brazil, the defense does have problems. To ensure that the squad can contend with the Colts and the rest of the NFL, the coaching staff must make the required changes.
A quarterbacking issue also exists for them, as Jordan Love’s injury sustained in Brazil will keep him out of action for some time. He will not miss a substantial portion of the season, even if he won’t be able to play for the Packers for quite some time.
The Packers can improve the offense in other areas besides the QB room. Even though a few players showed promise in Week 1, the team still lacks a reliable wide receiver.
Adding more WR options to the roster would help the team tremendously as they look for this year’s best option. The Packers used one of their most recent acquisitions in this way.
Former Patriot wide receiver TJ Luther joins the Green Bay Packers’ practice squad.
Despite not being drafted into the NFL, the 24-year-old wide receiver has demonstrated enough that teams are considering adding him to their practice squads. Although it is unlikely that he will play for the Packers, having a strong player on the practice squad will help the team cover its bases in the event that the WR room is plagued by injuries.
