A popular dining spot that blends cuisines from two regions is making its way to Louisville.
Texas de Brazil, a Brazilian steakhouse famed for its all-you-can-eat grilled meats, is preparing to open its first Louisville branch later this year.
The restaurant is expected to begin serving guests by fall 2025 at Mall St. Matthews, beside Zappo’s at 5000 Shelbyville Road. Until now, the chain’s only Kentucky location has been in Lexington at The Summit at Fritz Farm, operating since 2017. A Cincinnati branch launched in 2024.
Texas de Brazil is best known for its fixed-price dining model featuring churrasco-style service with a salad area and endless meats, from Brazilian sausages to bacon-wrapped filet mignon and its famous picanha cut. The meats are sliced directly at each table, and the meal includes complimentary sides like warm cheese bread, garlic mashed potatoes, and fried bananas.
Now under construction, the Louisville Texas de Brazil joins the food lineup at Mall St. Matthews, which already features Red Robin, The Cheesecake Factory, and Red Brick Pizza Kitchen Cafe.
