The ongoing hip-hop rivalry between their male counterparts has been joined by American female rappers.
Bia, Nicki Minaj’s protégé, seemed to be making fun of Cardi B, her mentor’s competitor, on Dreezy’s remix of “B*tch Duh.”
Bia made fun of an unidentified female artist in her verse for not being able to follow the beat, adding that she could never turn on her phone to cry on livestream.
Fans took her statement to mean that she was referring to Cardi B, who in December 2023 called out her ex-husband Offset for being dishonest in a profanity-filled outburst during an Instagram live session.
“How come you’re losing speed and can’t keep up with the beat? She didn’t say sh*t to me, so I didn’t know I had an opp. Bia raps, “I could never turn my phone on just to cry, live.”
According to the DAILY POST, beef culture has returned to hip-hop. Drake is the target of dissing tracks on Future and Metro Boomin’s new album “We Still Don’t Trust You,” which features songs featuring disses from Drake from Canadian rappers Kendrick Lamar, A$AP Rocky, and The Weeknd.
