Agent Albert Molina reveals one thing he strongly hopes to avoid for Alcaraz.

Agent Albert Molina expresses worry about the ubiquitous presence of smartphones, fearing that someone might surreptitiously record the 21-year-old Spaniard, potentially distorting events and harming the reputation of the three-time Grand Slam champion.

Following his triumph at the French Open and securing his third Grand Slam title, Alcaraz treated himself to a getaway in Ibiza for relaxation, accompanied only by friends while his agent remained at home.

Appearing on El Paridazo de Cope show, agent Molina was jokingly asked if the new French Open champion brought his physio with him to Ibiza. Answering the question, agent Molina confirmed the 21-year-old Spaniard was alone with his friends.

Agent Molina expressed concerns about the trip not due to Alcaraz or his friends but because Alcaraz’s popularity makes him stand out in public, increasing the risk of encountering someone with malicious intentions aiming to tarnish his reputation by recording and sharing his actions on social media.

Alcaraz understands the significance of upholding his current image, not only because he’s become a prominent figure in tennis but also as the face of major brands. Molina expressed concern not for Alcaraz himself, whom he described as noble, but for the people around him who might pose risks due to their intentions or the potential misinterpretation of situations captured on phones. Alcaraz fears that despite his genuine intentions, a simple photo or brief video could be manipulated or misconstrued, tarnishing his reputation unfairly.

Molina on Alcaraz and money: unchanged.

Alcaraz’s earnings this year total $4.5 million from tournaments, bringing his career earnings to $31.5 million at just 21 years old. In addition to prize money, he has secured lucrative sponsorship deals. Despite his success, agent Molina emphasizes Alcaraz’s humility, noting that he still resides with his parents and maintains his pre-fame routines. While money has undoubtedly influenced his lifestyle, Molina views Alcaraz’s unchanged demeanor positively, attributing it to his supportive family environment. However, Molina observes a slight shift in Alcaraz’s willingness to engage in debates, highlighting his growth as a young adult. Overall, Alcaraz’s approach to life remains grounded, prioritizing happiness in his day-to-day activities.

After his time in Ibiza, Alcaraz plans to head to London and start his grass season at the Queen’s Club next week. Queen’s holds a special significance for him as it’s where he secured his first grass title. Last year, Alcaraz wasn’t very confident about his chances on grass initially, but winning at Queen’s changed his perspective and showed he could perform at a high level on this surface. Reflecting on his victory, Alcaraz expressed his joy and gratitude, emphasizing the importance of winning such a prestigious tournament for the first time.
