Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer joined the “Always College Football” show earlier this week for an interview with former Alabama quarterback Greg McElroy.
One of the things that DeBoer spoke about was his approach to recruiting as he heads into year No. 2 with the Crimson Tide.
“I thought we did a good job last year,” DeBoer said. “I think this year it’s just continuing to fill in the gaps. You’re gonna recruit across the board, every position. I think every single year, but now, it’s how do you continue to add? Where are the areas where we know exactly what we’re losing next year, who we might lose to the NFL, how we can get better with recruiting, who can play early in their career and help us.”
In DeBoer’s first full year of recruiting, Alabama finished with 21 high school football signees, including elite prospects; Keelon Russell, Dijon Lee and Michael Carroll.
