On Saturday, South Africa easily won 45-12 against Wales in the Autumn Nations Series. Franco Mostert, Eben Etzebeth, Kurt-Lee Arendse, Elrigh Louw, Aphelele Fassi, Gerhard Steenekamp, and Jordan Hendrikse scored tries for the Springboks, leading them to a strong finish in the campaign.
This is Wales’ 12th consecutive Test defeat, putting pressure on head coach Warren Gatland. The Springboks took an early lead with tries from Mostert and Etzebeth within the first eight minutes.
Mostert scored after South Africa dominated physically, and Hendrikse converted the try. The Springboks showed their quality early on at the Principality Stadium.
The Welsh team faced a tough challenge during the game, but it could have been even worse if Siya Kolisi and Fassi had scored tries. However, both of them were stopped just short of the try-line.
Kolisi was denied a try after the officials noticed a mistake by Jaden Hendrikse.
Despite their efforts, Wales managed to score points before the end of the first half, giving them a glimpse of hope. The second half saw no points scored in the first 14 minutes as both teams made replacements, including a new front-row for the Springboks.
However, the dry spell was broken on 54 minutes when Arendse made a great dummy and pass to Fassi, who ran in for a try that was not converted, making the score 31-5.

This opened the floodgates for the Springboks once again, as Steenekamp scored the next try from close range, with Hendrikse adding the extra points. The Springbok fly-half then scored a try after receiving a pass from Reinach and successfully converting it.
Despite the one-sided game, Wales and their fans were encouraged by their strong finish, which included a try by Botham that was converted by Thomas.
