La Liga winners Real Madrid are apparently willing to trade Rodrygo in order to get Florian Wirtz, a 21-year-old sensation from Bayer Leverkusen, next summer.
Florian Wirtz is still a target for Real Madrid, according to a report from the Spanish publication Real Madrid Exclusivo. In order to acquire the 21-year-old German international from Bundesliga winners Bayer Leverkusen during the 2025 summer transfer window, Los Blancos may approve a trade involving Rodrygo.

Florian Wirtz’s professional path
After moving from FC Koln to Bayer Leverkusen in January 2020, Florian Wirtz has made a name for himself as one of the world’s top young talents. It took the young player just a few months to make a name for himself in the BayArena first team, and he was already a regular for the Bundesliga team.

The 21-year-old has developed into a Bayer Leverkusen icon and helped Die Werkself win the Bundesliga in the 2023–2024 campaign. In four appearances across all competitions, Wirtz has contributed two goals and one assist in the early going of the new season.

In the meantime, a number of prominent clubs in Europe have taken notice of Florian Wirtz’s development at Bayer Leverkusen. Real Madrid is fighting for the signature of the German international, who might make his way to La Liga in the summer transfer window of 2025.
