On Friday, three members of the prominent gospel vocal group the Nelons died in a plane crash in Wyoming. The deceased include Kelly Nelon Clark, her husband Jason Clark, and their daughter Amber Nelon Kistler. The family was en route to the Gaither Homecoming Alaska Cruise, departing from Seattle.
The crash involved a single-engine Pilatus PC-12/47E with seven people onboard, which went down around 1 p.m. in Campbell County, Wyoming. Authorities have not yet determined the cause of the crash. The National Transportation Safety Board reported that the aircraft crashed in a remote area, and investigators have yet to reach the site, which was also affected by a multi-acre fire.
Autumn Nelon Streetman, the fourth member of the Nelons and another daughter of Kelly and Jason Clark, was not on the plane. In a statement, she expressed gratitude for the prayers and support offered to her, her husband Jamie, their unborn son, and Jason’s parents, Dan and Linda Clark. She thanked everyone for their ongoing prayers and support as they face the difficult days ahead.
