A recent New York Times poll shows that Trump leads Biden by six points among Hispanic voters.
During an interview with CBS News on Wednesday, Latino voters in Arizona shared their concerns about inflation and other economic challenges under President Biden. Steve Macias, a former Trump supporter, expressed difficulty in deciding which candidate to vote for in the upcoming presidential election. Macias also voiced deep concerns about the rising costs of food and other essential goods.

He remarked, “I looked down and it was $2.29 when I went in to buy a candy bar the other day while I was filling up the car with gas, which is something I don’t do too often.”. He noted that other necessities like “toilet paper” and even food items like “chicken” have grown more expensive. “I can afford a candy bar, but I refuse to buy this candy bar because I’m not paying $2.29 for a candy bar,” he declared. An independent who supported Trump in 2020 named Raquel Gloden told CBS News, “It used to be that we could go out and do things [like] go out to dinner once twice a week.”. It’s not happening, she stated emphatically. The cost of medical care and other necessities has increased, and we have to budget for every little detail. ****.
According to Fox News Digital, the president introduced the “Latinos con Biden-Harris” campaign initiative on Tuesday while making a stop in Arizona. Campaign manager Julie Chávez Rodríguez stated, “The Latino vote was critical to the President’s victory in 2020, and 2024 will be no different.”. In the 2024 presidential election, candidates hoping to capitalize on the growing Hispanic population and their historically shaky ties to the Democratic Party will likely find great value in the Hispanic voter base. According to a poll conducted earlier this month by the New York Times and Siena College, former President Trump leads Biden by six points among voters who identify as Hispanic.
